Our company Furnisch.com acquires used dressers from auctions and individuals on Facebook marketplace. Our warehouse is located in Bloomington Indiana and we currently have someone drive down to Louisville when dressers come available for us to purchase. We are looking ot hire someone part time as an independent contractor that has a truck or trailer or both. We are looking for someone that has a lot of flexibility to pickup dressers with a same day or one day notice. Someone really could have a full time job and pickup a dresser on the way home from work if they wanted to. Individuals who do Door Dash or Uber would be perfect for this position.
We would start out at 10 hours per week and move that number up as requested by the driver. You let us know what hours you are available each day of the week and we will plan accrodingly.
Payments would be made at the end of each day and dressers would be dropped off at a storage unit close to where our new hire lives.
The majority of these dresser pickups would be from Facebook Marketplace and will be with cash. We will transfer cash for pickups and gas via Cash App at the beginning of each day. Most of the people that we are buying from are able to assist with loading the dressers.
The ideal candidate must be able to tilt upright dressers against a truck tailgate and lift them into a truck or use a dolly to roll them onto a trailer. For long dressers our drivers in Indianapolis and Bloomington unload by laying them down on their backs and sliding them off. Training will be provided.
On average we will have 1 to 2 dresser pickups per day.
