RN INFECTION PREVENTIONIST - QUALITY

Infection Preventionist

Infection Prevention and Control (IPCP), Antibiotic Stewardship (ASP), and Restorative Nursing programs; provides education, surveillance, outbreak investigation, and regulatory compliance.

Primary training in nursing/medical technology/microbiology/epidemiology; RN preferred with IP experience.

1+ year RN with infection prevention/control experience.

Conduct surveillance and outbreak investigations.

Develop policies, training, and action plans.

Educate staff/residents/families; monitor documentation.

Maintain immunizations/TB screening records.

Participate in QAPI and required reporting.

Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling.

Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently; >50 lbs with assistance/devices.

Assist with patient repositioning and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.

Manual dexterity for clinical procedures and computer use; adequate vision, hearing, and speech.
