Surgery Scheduling Specialist – Women’s Care – Full Time, Days Work location: 1300 West Terrell, Fort Worth, TX 76104. Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Surgery Scheduling experience (strongly preferred). 2 Years related experience in Healthcare environment (preferred). Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism. Requires strong customer skills. Good communication skills. A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. What You Will Do Deliver care to patients utilizing the Surgery Scheduling Specialist Process. Schedule all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician. Coordinate, register and schedule appointments for patients according to availability. Conduct physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care. Ensure all required tests needed prior to surgery are done. Coordinate and ensure necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre‑surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure. Schedule any necessary follow‑up appointments. Communicate and answer patients’ questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival/departure instructions relative to procedure. Perform other duties as assigned.
