Job Overview Numerical Control Programmer (Metals) – Aerospace Composite Center, LLC We are seeking a motivated Numerical Control Programmer to support the Aerospace Composites Center (ACC) in Hazelwood, MO. The successful candidate will produce programs and implement programming methods for aerospace part fabrication and support automation systems involved in various production processes including 3‑ and 5‑axis machining of metallic and composite parts. Key Responsibilities Work closely with other NC Programmers, Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, Equipment Engineering, equipment providers, Boeing Design Engineers, Boeing Research & Technology Engineers, Quality Engineers, IT, Industrial Engineers, and Production Operations personnel. Develop and author reliable numerical control programs for a range of automated equipment and processes. Create offline programs using NX, CATIA V5, and compatible programming and simulation software. Provide validated Machine Control Data (MCD) to produce production components that meet design, quality, and build plan requirements. Apply numerical control, machining, and programming technical experience. Test and prove out new N/C programs to achieve conforming builds. Provide follow-on support once programs are released to production. Utilize or create source geometry for generation of MCD. Verify MCD and create documentation to support manufacturing processes. Work under general supervision. Provide weekend work and off-shift support as needed. Travel occasionally as required. Work 100% onsite. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree (AS or AA) or trade school equivalent in Machine Tool Technology or related discipline. Eight or more years of experience as an NC Programmer. Three or more years of GD&T fundamentals experience. Experience with CAD/CAM tools and systems. Basic knowledge of manufacturing methods and fabrication processes (forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, N/C programming, instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems). Preferred Qualifications Experience with NX, CATIA V5, and Vericut. Ability to select the best method for producing parts, tools, or assemblies. Familiarity with aluminum, titanium, steels, and composites. Experience with simulation software (e.g., Vericut) to evaluate machine motion and tooling concepts. Experience programming multi‑axis metallic parts and/or assemblies (highly preferred but not required). Complete ability to utilize or create source geometry for generation of MCD.
