Physical Therapist - Full Time (Outpatient) $15,000 Sign on Bonus

Physical Therapist (Outpatient Rehab) Employment Type: Full time. This outpatient hospital–based clinic specializes in neurologic, vestibular, oncology, lymphedema, geriatric, gait and balance, post‑operative/spinal pathologies, and complex orthopedic cases. Position Purpose: Develop individualized plans of care for patients, outlining goals and expected outcomes. Use exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands‑on therapy, and equipment to ease pain, increase mobility, prevent further injury, and facilitate health and wellness. Responsibilities Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease or prevent deformity of patients suffering from disease or injury. Administer manual exercises, massage, and/or traction to relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformity. Discharge patients from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained, providing appropriate follow‑up care or referrals. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation. Inform patients when diagnosis reveals findings outside their scope and refer to an appropriate practitioner. Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to continue at home. Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction. Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in the patient’s chart or enter information into computer. Review physician’s referral and patient’s medical records to help determine diagnosis and physical therapy treatment. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy is required. Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida is required. New graduates and experienced physical therapists are welcome. Preferred Skills and Certifications Neurologic rehabilitation experience, NCS certification, or neurologic residency. GCS or Geriatric Certification. Vestibular experience and/or certification.
