Cyber Security Engineer

Cyber Security Engineer *Compensation:* $85,000 - $120,000 (upon conversion) *Location:* Ideally hybrid in Kenosha, WI (2-3 days onsite per week). The client is open to highly qualified remote candidates, particularly those within reasonable travel distance (e.g., Chicago) who can commit to occasional onsite visits a few times per quarter/year. *Employment Type:* Contract-to-Hire or Direct Hire Overview Our client is seeking to add *two Cyber Security Engineers* to their growing team. Historically, the organization has operated with a lean engineering staff comprised of "jack-of-all-trades" professionals. As the company continues to expand, they are investing in more specialized talent across their Infrastructure and Security teams. Key Responsibilities & Areas of Focus * Incident Response * Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) * Vulnerability Management * Endpoint Security * Firewall Administration and Security Operations * Threat Detection and Response * Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) * Cybersecurity Frameworks (CSF) Required Skills * Cybersecurity Engineering * Incident Response * SIEM Platforms * Vulnerability Management * Endpoint Protection & Security * Security Governance and Compliance Preferred Qualifications * Experience with *Palo Alto Cortex* * Strong understanding of *GRC programs* and *Cybersecurity Frameworks (CSF)* * Experience managing or supporting *security awareness and phishing campaigns* * Familiarity with *ZenGuide* or similar security training platforms * Hands-on experience with: * Endpoint security solutions * SIEM tools * Firewall technologies * Threat and vulnerability management programs This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on a growing security program while working with a team that values both technical expertise and continuous improvement. *Job Type & Location* This is a Permanent position based out of Kenosha, WI. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $60.00/hr.
