The Product Support Specialist will be required to provide technical support for assigned projects, processes, or product lines.

You will make an impact in this role by:

• Developing a thorough knowledge of the product line.
• Providing technical support both internally and to outside contacts.
• Providing liaison between the customer and sales support.
• Developing and supporting training on products and applications.
• Updating distributors and regional sales managers on product line changes.
• Coordinating with German products and counterparts.
• Maintaining price lists and literature.
• Completing price and technical analysis.
• Using SAP to generate necessary reports.
• Participating in continual improvement initiatives.
• Preparing price quotations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Key skills and attributes include:

• Travel 25%-40% of the time.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Knowledge of database software, development software, internet software, project management software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions.
• Customer Service: Responds promptly to customer needs; responds to requests for assistance.
• Self-Starter and Motivator: Able to develop effective relationships with distributors, regional sales managers, and customers.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Oral Communication: Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations.
• Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively.

To be considered for the Product Support Specialist role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:

• Associate's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.

Salary is commensurate with experience, and compensation for this position is between $60,000 - $75,000. HYDAC offers employees a comprehensive medical/dental/vision plan, paid holidays, PTO, 401k with company matching, FSA account, short term disability and life insurance, and pet insurance.
