Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in labor and delivery, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Perform fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy monitoring in a high-acuity perinatal setting
• Manage patients across antepartum, labor/high-risk, and triage areas
• Float to postpartum as needed, providing couplet care for both maternal and newborn patients
• Participate in newborn care at delivery when applicable
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active, in-hand California RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or NCC EFM certification required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA-issued)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Preferred Experience / Skills

• FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) certification preferred
• Experience performing newborn care roles at delivery
• Familiarity with postpartum couplet care (maternal and newborn)
