Budget Accountant

Job Summary/Company :


Sparks Group has partnered with a healthcare organization to find a Budget Analyst. As the Budget Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing cost analysis, annual budgeting, tax preparation and annual cost reports as well as driving preparation, analysis and execution of contractual adjustments and more. Responsibilities :

• Perform complex accounting analyses, evaluate financial data, and deliver actionable insights and recommendations directly to leadership.
• Manage estimated contractual adjustments, charity, and bad debt reserves, while overseeing Medicare/Medicaid cost reports and COPN regulatory filings.
• Head the preparation of Federal, State, and Local tax returns, and drive annual budgeting and cost analysis initiatives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, taxing authorities, consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure total compliance.
• Continuously audit accounting workflows to identify inefficiencies, implement modern solutions, and uphold strict financial accuracy.

Qualifications/Background Profile :

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business with a concentration in Accounting.

• Minimum of 1 year of applicable accounting experience
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Experience with Financial analysis and reporting tools
