Job Description

This role focuses on assembling complex mechanical and material handling equipment used in the food, beverage, and chemical industries. You will interpret detailed machine and assembly drawings, build high-quality systems using hand and power tools, and support continuous improvement efforts across the operation. The position offers the opportunity to work on large industrial conveyors, palletizers, and related automation equipment in a clean, well-organized facility.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and use machine drawings, machine assembly drawings, control schematics, and bills of materials to accurately build equipment according to specifications.
• Assemble structural components, mechanical drives, fluid control systems, guards and covers, and other mechanical assemblies using hand and power tools.
• Perform simple electrical assembly tasks as required to complete machine builds.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues by using drawings, schematics, and problem-solving skills.
• Contribute to the reduction and elimination of non-value-added work by following efficient work practices and suggesting improvements.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards for workmanship, neatness, and efficiency.
• Complete quality assurance checks in accordance with established procedures and documentation requirements (e.g., Blue Book standards).
• Accurately document labor hours, material issues and returns, material movements, and material scrap in the required systems or forms.
• Follow and execute inventory reordering policies, including Kanban processes, to maintain appropriate material levels.
• Prepare equipment for shipment, including machine teardown and any necessary disassembly or packing steps.
• Work collaboratively in assembly teams of 2–6 assemblers to complete projects on schedule.
• Follow all safety procedures, including safe use of tools and equipment and safe work practices when working at heights on platforms.

Work Environment

Voluntary overtime is typically available on Fridays and potentially Saturdays. The facility is very clean and well lit, creating a comfortable and safe working environment. Assemblers work in teams of 2–6 people, using professional-grade tools such as Milwaukee power tools to build large industrial conveyors, palletizers, and related equipment. Some tasks require working on elevated platforms up to approximately 20 feet high and 70 feet long, with appropriate safety practices in place. The overall environment supports teamwork, clear communication, and pride in high-quality craftsmanship

This is a Permanent position based out of Beaver Dam, WI.

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $23.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Beaver Dam,WI.
