Job Description

The Process Technician will work with injection molding machines and robots that drive production. This role ensures proper maintenance to prevent downtime and meet customer delivery commitments. The technician will keep machines and robots production-ready, aligned with OEE goals, requiring strong attention to detail, process discipline, and effective root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Shift Lead and Production Supervisor to complete weekly preventive maintenance on machines and molds and suggest improvements when needed.
• Collaborate with the Process Engineer and Automation Engineer to review and implement new robot programs for new machines, molds, or efficiency improvements.
• Perform emergency maintenance on molds, robots, and auxiliary equipment.
• Identify and implement production output improvements related to employees, machines, methods, or materials.
• Use root-cause analysis tools and document findings for equipment issues.
• Assist with mold setups, repairs, and other tasks alongside the Mold PM Technician, Process Technician I, and Process Engineer.
• Provide recommendations and collaborate with process engineering on machine setup, parameters, and cycle time goals.
• Participate in meetings and help communicate/implement updates shared by the Process Engineer.
• Obtain necessary equipment certifications (forklifts, man lifts, etc.).
• Ensure spare parts are stocked and ordered with PM technicians.
• Use various hand tools, power tools, and electrical meters.
• Adapt to changing tasks and workflow.

• 3+ years of experience working in plastic injection molding.
• 3+ years of experience performing mold setting and changes.
• 3+ years of experience performing preventative maintenance on injection mold equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in hydraulics, troubleshooting, pneumatics, and mechanical skills.

• Experience with Scientific Molding is a plus.
• Strong decision-making, time management, and critical-thinking skills.
• Working knowledge of robotics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Office 365 preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical coursework or an associate degree is preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Solid math, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment

The work environment is a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting. The shift hours are from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with a 12-hour shift rotation of 2, 2, 3. The shift will eventually change to 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haltom City, TX.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Haltom City,TX.
