Department Overview The Technology Solutions ("TS") Department is responsible for designing and delivering state of the art technology solutions that are designed to create efficiency, mitigate risk and grow revenue for the Firm. Technology Solutions is also responsible for defining, managing and executing a robust Cyber Security program following the NIST Cyber Security Framework. The Technology Solutions Department collaborates closely with Firm leadership and business unit heads to develop plans in line with business objectives. Position Responsibilities The TS Department is seeking an experienced business technology leader to join its Application Development Team. The candidate will lead a team of Business Analysts and product owners while partnering with Fund Accounting, BDC Fund Accounting, Treasury and other business groups to identify process improvement opportunities and deliver technology solutions that drive efficiency, quality and risk reduction. Working at the intersection of business operations and technology, the successful candidate will build strong stakeholder relationships, gather and translate business requirements and collaborate with development teams and vendors to implement scalable solutions supporting critical business processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong communication skills, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity and the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex business challenges. Responsibilities Include Business Partnership Building trusted relationships with business stakeholders, executive sponsors, technology colleagues and vendors; actively managing vendors against outcome-driven goals and contractual obligations Developing a deep understanding of back-office business processes, identifying pain points, process gaps and opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and risk management Managing competing priorities, influencing outcomes and maintaining delivery momentum in a deadline-driven environment Adapting quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Product Ownership and Delivery Developing subject matter expertise in core technology platforms including WSO, Geneva, Treasury systems and other back-office applications Translating business needs into clear requirements, user stories, use cases, process flows, data flows and success criteria Partnering with development teams and vendors to clarify requirements, prioritize work and ensure solutions meet business needsli>Supporting all phases of delivery including analysis, design, testing, implementation and post-production support Ensuring delivered solutions meet business requirements, quality standards and operational readiness expectations through thoughtful validation and testing Data Analysis and Application Support Analyzing data using tools such as SQL, Excel pivot tables and other reporting or extraction methods Triaging production issues and coordinating resolution across internal teams and third-party vendors Candidate Requirements Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required 15+ years of experience in a similar role within Financial Services Expert knowledge of SS&C's Geneva platform is required Proven expertise in building and managing large application solutions related to asset management, financial instruments and / or portfolio management Prior experience managing teams across stakeholders, applications, vendors and competing priorities Strong analytical skills to digest, document and translate business requirements for in-house development or customizing / configuring third- party software products Proven experience performing complex data analysis; deep understanding of relational databases with experience writing SQL queries and use of related query tools preferred Results-oriented, highly accountable self-starter with a service mindset, strong delivery orientation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing, complex environment Must have extensive experience with all phases of the SDLC in a team-oriented, structured yet agile model Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI tools in day-to-day work, with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, limitations and appropriate use of AI generated outputs Enthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work culture Critical Competencies for Success Our Gold Standards Leadership: Role models in this area consistently focus on the right goals and priorities and continually develop themselves and others. Project / Program Management: Manages Technology Solutions project elements considering conflicting priorities, interdependencies, business objectives, communications and available resources. Compensation And Benefits For Illinois Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $140,000 to $215,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered.
