Diesel Technician/MechanicCompletes diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision. We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Roanoke, VA. We offer sign on bonus, relocation, competitive pay and benefits!Will make an impact in the following ways:Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own toolsIn order to be successful in this role you will need the following:Completes complex internal engine repairsPerforms engine overhauls unassistedDetailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and componentsProficient experience with engine diagnostic softwareAdditional responsibilities unique to this position:This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This role will be subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol testing. A current valid license is required for this role. Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience. This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations. A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire. Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older.Compensation and benefits: Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
