Position Overview

We are seeking a Research Technician to support beverage product development and laboratory operations. This individual will play a key role in assisting scientists with formulation, testing, and day-to-day lab maintenance. This is a hands-on, onsite role ideal for someone with a STEM background who is detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Testing

• Support scientists in beverage product development, including prototype formulation
• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients to create test beverages according to detailed instructions
• Assist with a long-term (14-month) testing process and ongoing prototype development
• Conduct shelf-life testing and analytical testing to validate product quality and stability
• Participate in sensory evaluation/taste testing when required

Laboratory Operations & Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab, including routine cleaning and upkeep
• Monitor and maintain proper temperature controls for freezers and lab spaces
• Track and manage inventory of ingredients and lab supplies
• Support general lab maintenance and ensure readiness for daily operations

Safety & Compliance

• Monitor lab safety systems, including oxygen meters, CO₂ monitors, and air quality systems
• Follow all safety protocols and assist in maintaining a safe working environment

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related STEM field
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
• Comfort working in a lab environment and supporting hands-on experimentation
• Willingness to participate in taste testing

Preferred

• Background in food or beverage product development
• Experience with analytical or chemical testing methods
