Lab Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician II to support laboratory testing, quality control, and analytical activities in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for performing routine and non-routine laboratory analyses, maintaining accurate records, operating laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have at least 2–5 years of laboratory experience and be comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Perform chemical, biological, physical, or quality control testing according to established methods and procedures.
• Prepare samples, reagents, standards, and solutions for laboratory analyses.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review data for accuracy and investigate out-of-specification or unusual results.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks, electronic records, and documentation in accordance with quality standards.
• Assist with method validation, process improvement initiatives, and laboratory investigations.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, ISO, FDA, EPA, OSHA, or other applicable regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering laboratory supplies and materials.
• Support audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
• Participate in training and mentor junior laboratory staff when needed.
• Follow all laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field.
• 1-3 years of laboratory experience in an industrial, environmental, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, manufacturing, or research setting.
• Experience performing laboratory testing and maintaining detailed documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and laboratory data systems.

• Experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, ICP, UV-Vis, FTIR, or other laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of GMP, GLP, ISO, or other regulated laboratory environments.
• Previous experience troubleshooting laboratory issues and investigating non-conforming results.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work around laboratory chemicals, equipment, and industrial environments while following all safety protocols.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Louisville,KY.
