Location: Alpharetta, GA 30004 Position Type: Contract 3 Months End Date: December 26, 2026 Shift: MondayThursday: 8:00 AM5:00 PM | Friday: 8:00 AM12:00 PM | 36 hours/week

Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is responsible for providing high-quality patient service while performing blood collection and specimen processing. The role requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to accuracy and confidentiality, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture, capillary, Pediatric, and geriatric collections.
  • Collect, label, verify, and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographics and obtain required signatures following specimen collection.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Provide a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients.
  • Explain collection procedures and establish patient trust and confidence.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Handle multiple priorities accurately in a high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Support multiple Patient Service Centers or physician-office locations as business needs require.
  • Maintain flexibility for changing assignments, staffing needs, and training locations.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 13 years of phlebotomy experience required.
  • Experience with Pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Strong venipuncture and specimen-handling skills.
  • Keyboard/data-entry experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise sound judgment.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license/clean driving record, if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
  • 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
