LIBRARY PROGRAMMING SPECIALIST
CLOSING DATE: August 10, 2026
PAY RATE: $15.97 per hour
SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday, 12:30-5:30 with occasional evenings and weekends.
DEPARTMENT: Library
JOB SUMMARYPerforms duties related to the planning and implementing of programs, creative activities, book discussions and programs for all ages. May assist with social media promotions.
RESPONSIBLITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS- Graduation from high school.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Ability to collaborate in creating fun entertaining events for all ages.
- Treat adults and children with respect.
- Enjoy creating visual aids and paper crafts geared toward school-aged children.
- Have the ability to laugh and enjoy working with children.
- Comfortable working in front of large groups of participants.
- Knowledge of basic computer use.
- Must pass drug and background test before hire.
- Current driver's license with own transportation.
- Needs to be comfortable being recorded for on-line programs.
- Must be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
