Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM) Experience: 1 year preferred License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: BLS certification required, ACLS certification required Must-Have: - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred - 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred Description: The competent Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting. Demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care with the ability to plan for long-range goals. Continuously develops the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to help manage the clinical situation. Meets expectations of applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to their level of practice. Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols. Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of the prescribed treatment. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers. Identifies issues and resources.
