Public Health Home Visit Nurse

As a Public Health Home Visit Nurse you will help families coordinate care for their babies and children, including those with special health needs. You will promote health and well-being during pregnancy, infancy and early childhood through prevention and early identification of health issues. Home visiting programs supported by our department include Cacoon, Babies First!, and Family Connects. Come be a part of our growing team!

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.

Special Qualifications: Must possess and maintain a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Oregon at the time of appointment. Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oregon Driver's license within 30 days of hire. May need access to and use of a personal vehicle and maintain valid automobile insurance. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred which includes a 5% pay differential

Our Community: Polk County is located in the Willamette Valley just an hour from the Pacific Coast to the west and an hour from Portland to the north. The population is approximately 87,000 and the county spans about 744 square miles, with two thirds of the western part of the county being forest. National protected areas include the Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge and Siuslaw National Forest.

The County is part of the agricultural richness the Willamette Valley has to offer.
