Job Summary Geisinger is proud to offer a full‑time Clinical Team Coordinator position with up to $24,000 hiring incentive for eligible candidates. Job Duties Coordinates and supervises the delivery of nursing care and activities on an assigned unit. Assists in developing, initiating, and supporting improvements that facilitate high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective patient care. Responsible for ensuring the highest level of care is provided and optimizing all customer interactions to maximize patient satisfaction. Provides direct patient care and supervises assigned personnel; assists with orientation and integration of new employees. Conducts performance appraisals, monitors absenteeism, orders supplies, schedules 24‑hour staffing, and performs patient and bed triage. Addresses performance issues and initiates disciplinary processes as appropriate. Communicates pertinent patient‑care information and operations to appropriate personnel. Participates in formulation of nursing policies and goals, and in policies affecting other departments. Translates policies, procedures, and regulations to patients, visitors, and staff. Communicates significant unit issues to the Operations Manager promptly. Supports Magnet philosophies—healthy work environment, professional growth, and patient and family involvement. Provides feedback to staff or managers on professional practice issues; promotes evidence‑based practices. Serves as a resource for unit issues, mentors staff, delegates actions, and fosters participation. Ensures staff meets regulatory requirements. Optimizes use of physical, financial, and human resources. Prevents and resolves patient and family concerns. Assists the operations manager in patient‑focused service rounds on the unit. Follows up on incidents occurring on the unit. Ensures proper documentation and follow‑through. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Additional Responsibilities Assess, organize, perform, and evaluate nursing activities to meet patient needs. Promote adaptive responses of patients and families to achieve the highest level of care, safety, and satisfaction. Exhibit compassionate care during patient‑nurse interactions. Coordinate patient care and staff interaction. Meet qualification to provide care on the assigned unit. Ensure optimal patient and family experience. Completes assessments per scope of practice and unit standards. Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families. Formulates, coordinates, and provides care plans per unit standards, including education, family needs, and discharge planning. Provides direct care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies per policy. Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and revises plans as needed. Initiates collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and interdisciplinary team members; acts to resolve patient needs. Problem‑solves and troubleshoots equipment handling; participates in unit‑based decision‑making on evidence‑based practice. Actively participates as a team member to achieve unit and organizational metrics. Participates in patient quality and safety education programs and improvement activities. Position Details Schedule: 0.9 FTE (36 hours) per rotation. Education Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Required). Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (Required). Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Preferred). Experience Minimum of 2 years nursing experience (Required). Certification(s) and License(s) Basic Life Support Certification – Default Issuing Body.
