Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Location: Durand, MI

Pay Rate: $16.00/hour

Schedule: First Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join a team in Durand, MI. This position involves assisting customers over the phone, through email, and in person while ensuring questions, concerns, and shipping-related issues are handled professionally and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple customer interactions throughout the day. A key part of this position involves processing claims for packages lost in transit, maintaining accurate records, and following up to ensure customer issues are resolved.

What You'll Do

• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer emails promptly and professionally
• Greet and assist walk-in customers with questions, concerns, and service needs
• Process claims for packages lost in transit, including gathering information and completing required documentation
• Follow up with shipping carriers and internal team members regarding claims and customer inquiries
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, claims, and resolutions
• Provide customers with updates and ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members when necessary
• Manage multiple customer requests while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
• Deliver a positive customer experience while following company policies and procedures

What You Bring

• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Experience in shipping, logistics, package tracking, or claims processing is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable assisting customers over the phone, through email, and in person
• Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and Microsoft Office or similar programs
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize customer inquiries effectively
• Professional, patient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Ability to remain calm and professional when handling customer complaints or difficult situations
• Familiarity with CRM or customer service ticketing systems is a plus
• Dependable and able to consistently work the scheduled first-shift hours
