You will serve as a technical leader for high‑voltage systems, owning design support, operations, and reliability while partnering closely with engineering, construction, operations, and safety teams. This position offers high visibility and meaningful impact for engineers who enjoy hands‑on ownership of complex power systems.Responsibilities:Lead engineering oversight of 230kV systems including breakers, transformers, protection, grounding, and substation infrastructureProvide technical support for design, installation, commissioning, energization, and operation of utility‑scale electrical equipmentOwn reliability strategy including condition assessments, predictive maintenance, health monitoring, and life‑cycle planningPerform root cause analysis for electrical events and implement corrective actionsDevelop and maintain substation documentation, one‑lines, operating procedures, switching plans, and emergency response materialsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field5+ years of experience with high‑voltage (115kV) utility or industrial power systemsKnowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, and NESC standardsExperience with power system analysis tools such as SKM, ETAP, Aspen OneLiner, or equivalentExperience using AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D design tools such as Revit or NavisworksPreferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience with protective relays, protection schemes, and relay settings developmentExperience with SCADA interfaces and power monitoring systemsExperience with utility coordination, transmission‑level equipment, or substation operationsExperience mentoring engineers or technicians in high‑voltage systems and electrical safetyAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
