Veterinary Cardiologist (DVM, DACVIM-Cardiology)

The Opportunity

Cladda is seeking a board-certified (or board-eligible) Veterinary Cardiologist to join our specialty team. This is a chance to build and shape a cardiology service within a supportive, well-equipped emergency and specialty hospital - working alongside emergency clinicians and other specialty services to deliver high-quality, coordinated patient care.

What You'll Do

• Manage a caseload of cardiac patients, including congenital and acquired heart disease, arrhythmias, and congestive heart failure
• Perform and interpret echocardiography, ECG, and other cardiac diagnostics; oversee interventional and surgical cardiac procedures as applicable
• Collaborate closely with our emergency team on shared and transferred cases, and with other specialty services on multidisciplinary cases
• Build and mentor a technical support team dedicated to cardiology
• Serve as a resource for referring veterinarians and support client communication around diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options
• Contribute to case rounds, mentorship of emergency clinicians, and ongoing development of hospital protocols

What We're Looking For

• DVM/VMD (or equivalent) with completion of an accredited cardiology residency
• Board certification with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Cardiology specialty (DACVIM-Cardiology) preferred; board-eligible candidates encouraged to apply
• Strong clinical, communication, and collaborative skills
• A team-oriented approach and interest in helping grow a new or developing specialty service
• Active or eligible veterinary license in Virginia
