Adjunct, Health Education (Fall 2026)

Position Overview The Department of Health and Physical Education is seeking candidates to fill part‑time instructor positions in teacher preparation health education courses, in particular practicum courses which require both coursework on campus, as well as partnering with RI schools. Supervision in the field is also required. Teach courses as needed at the undergraduate level. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Education: Masters or Doctoral Degree in Health Education or Education. Experience: 3 or more years K‑12 teaching experience; Knowledge of RI schools. Preferred Qualifications Teaching experience at the college level. Employment Requirements Work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Appointment contingent upon background screening. Union eligibility: Adjuncts become eligible to join the RIC/AFT Adjunct Union if they complete 6 load hours (excludes applied music) within the two previous consecutive years. No fringe benefits.
