About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Active RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Must have experienced pediatric care. Must be willing to be on-call. Must be able to float to similar units as required. Description: The role involves providing care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Candidates must hold an active RN license. Pediatric experience is preferred but not mandatory. Shifts may vary within the day shift hours of 0700 to 2300. Nurses will be required to take on-call shifts, primarily overnight. One Saturday night or one Sunday night call shift is required. There may be some day shift call shifts available. Nurses must respond to calls within 30 minutes. On-call sleep rooms are available for those who prefer to stay on-site. On-call coverage is necessary on weekends. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 2:1. Interdisciplinary support is available including physical therapy and respiratory services. Candidates should be prepared for a variety of patient conditions. Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory. All time-off requests should be included upfront during the application process. Travelers may be expected to float between units as needed. Refusal to float may lead to termination of the assignment.
