Overview Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Relocation Assistance: Available for candidates relocating from outside the state of Illinois. Salary Range: $481.80 – $525.60 gross pay per shift; equivalent to $40.15 – $43.80 per hour. Department: Cardiopulmonary / Respiratory Therapy Job Type: Per Diem | Non-Exempt Location: Evanston, Illinois Interview within 24 - 48 hours | Fast Offer Process Work in a high-acuity, critical care environment and advanced respiratory cases Competitive pay + shift differentials Career growth within a large healthcare system The Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) / Respiratory Therapist (RRT) delivers respiratory therapy treatments and pulmonary diagnostic services in an acute care setting, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of care across all patient populations. Responsibilities Administer respiratory therapy treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management) Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems Perform pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs) Implement patient-specific respiratory care plans Document care in the EMR Respond to code blue and rapid response events Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required 2 years experience as an RCP preferred. ACLS certificate within 60 day of hire and maintain current. NRP certificate preferred PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current. Pay Transparency Saint Francis Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $40.15 to $43.80. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
