Registered Nurse CVOR

Travel CVOR Registered Nurse Opportunity

Seeking a highly skilled CVOR Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in a busy cardiovascular operating room. The ideal candidate will have current acute care experience, trauma and level I experience preferred, and be proficient in Open Heart surgery procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Manage cardiovascular operating room cases, assisting surgeons during procedures such as AVR, MVR, CABG, Bentall, and Dissection.
• Monitor patient vital signs continuously and provide appropriate perioperative care.
• Prepare patients pre-operatively and deliver post-operative stabilization and assessment.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
• Uphold unit policies, including flexibility with day/evening shifts and call shifts.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (Meditech) and adhere to infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 1-year experience as a CVOR RN in an acute hospital setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proven experience with Open Heart surgery procedures.
• Level I trauma or similar experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Meditech EMR system.
• Strong teamwork, accountability, and self-direction skills.
