Assistant Principal

The Assistant Principal is an administrative position responsible for assisting the Principal in setting and driving the vision for teaching and learning at Aspira Charter High School. Responsibilities include leading mentoring, instructional coaching, and evaluation of teaching staff with the Principal; determining the school-wide instructional focus and professional development plan for the year; overseeing the development and implementation of a rigorous, college preparatory curriculum; directing the school's standards-based assessment strategies and systems; establishing performance goals with instructional staff and ensuring goals are met through regular coaching of teachers; providing feedback on instructional plans, practices, and strategies to ensure continuous improvement and ongoing development of instructional staff; observing teachers, providing instructional coaching and managing teacher performance evaluations with the Principal; coordinating academic interventions and supports as needed, as well as scheduling; supporting the coordination of internal and state assessment; collaborating with other members of the leadership team and stakeholder groups; and performing other related duties as assigned.
