Medical Surgical Nurse (RN)

Overview Are you a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Med/Surg Telemetry? We are seeking a dedicated RN for a 13-week contract assignment in Philadelphia, PA. You'll play a key role in providing quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Patient Care: Provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit, including monitoring vital signs, assessing patient conditions, and administering medications. Telemetry Monitoring: Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor heart rhythms, identifying and responding to changes promptly. Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other RNs, to deliver a comprehensive care plan. Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines. Patient Education: Educate patients and families on health conditions, post-treatment care, and wellness. Qualifications Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania Bachelors Degree: Preferred Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (preferred) Skills: Proficient in telemetry monitoring and managing acute medical-surgical cases. Assignment Details Duration: 13 weeks (with potential extension based on facility needs) Shift Schedule: Day Shift (7a-7:30p) Start Date: ASAP Why Join Us?
