The Position

The Opportunity:

Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers.

• As a Field Engineering Specialist, you will travel and showcase your expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines.
• You will offer valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory.
• The role involves routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.
• You will serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• The position requires diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
• You will document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.

Who You Are:

• High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience are required.
• 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking is necessary. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of progressive experience will suffice.
• Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy is mandatory.
• The ability to travel, including overnight travel, is a requirement for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience are required.
• Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry.
• The ability to serve as an internal technical resource, provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships is essential.

This is a field-based role. The territory is within the San Francisco peninsula, East Bay & South Bay areas, or within the Vacaville/Fairfield area. Ideal candidate must reside in the territory.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $81,700 and $151,700 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
