Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting in providing effective and preventive machine/equipment/building maintenance to enable the company to maintain optimum production capability and product/service quality assurance. With safety at the forefront. The training period expected to be a year depending on level of experience and technical skill. This role is located in Reading, PA and will be fully on-site.

• Start strong: 8 weeks of paid training on first shift at $26.17 per hour
• Boost your pay: After training, enter the bonus pool, earning $4.00+ more per hour
• Shift options: 2nd shift: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm or 3rd shift: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance of all process equipment within the facility.
• Learn the preventative maintenance schedule
• Assist in building maintenance
• Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools
• Proficient in the operation, preparation and shutdown of equipment.
• Proficient in welding, pipefitting, hydraulics, electrical (3 phase 480, PLC knowledge) and machine repair.
• Cross training required in the roll grind shop
• Trained and follow hot work program
• Trained and follow working at heights program
• Trained and follow Arc Flash program
• Able to be approved to wear a tight-fitting respirator requiring fit testing.
• Able to be certified in forklift operation
• Able to be certified in High lift operation

Maintenance Technician Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Minimum of three years of electrical experience (3 phase, 480v).
• Willingness to learn welding, pipefitting, hydraulics, and machine repair.
• Able to work overtime or on call.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Pick up ordered maintenance parts, as needed utilizing the company van. drivers license required.
