Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM-6:00 PM | On-site | Call requirements: 2-4 shifts per 4-week schedule (weekends included in call rotation)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care to patients in a 16-bed PACU unit, maintaining patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1
• Operate and monitor equipment including IV pumps, arterial lines, BiPAPs, chest tubes, bladder scanners, and Doppler devices for pulse checks
• Assist with and monitor patients undergoing procedures such as nerve blocks, lumbar punctures, and chest tube placements
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with a team-oriented unit staff across day and night shifts, demonstrating strong multitasking and communication skills
• Participate in on-call shifts as scheduled, including weekend call coverage

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Phase 1 PACU experience required

• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Critical care background or experience in an ICU or high-acuity setting
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment with a calm, adaptable demeanor
