A Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist opportunity is available to support a small critical access inpatient hospital in Irvington, KY, from June 22nd to June 26th. This role involves working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, providing vital pharmacy services in a 25-bed facility with census typically ranging from 8 to 15 patients.

Key responsibilities include verifying medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety, monitoring pharmacy technicians' workflow, managing medication cart fills, and overseeing Pyxis automated dispensing systems. This role requires strong clinical knowledge and the ability to work effectively within a hospital inpatient setting, fostering a collaborative environment with healthcare teams.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Current, clear, and active Kentucky pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system is highly preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a true people person
• Solid clinical pharmacy knowledge and critical thinking skills
