Assistive Technology Professional

The Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) plays a crucial role in evaluating, recommending, and providing customized Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) to meet the unique needs of our clients. This position involves working closely with clients, families, therapists, and physicians to ensure the appropriate equipment is provided to maximize independence and enhance quality of life. A strong understanding of clinical conditions and extensive knowledge of rehabilitation equipment are essential for success in this role.

Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care, recommending appropriate CRT equipment, managing procurement processes, delivering and fitting equipment, providing training and education to clients and caregivers, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a related field, valid Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, working knowledge of compliant billing processes, and a valid driver's license. Preferred competencies include experience working with complex rehabilitation technology, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, previous experience in selling DME equipment, and comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation equipment.

Physical work requirements include frequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers associated with computer equipment, prolonged periods of time working at a desk or on a computer, occasionally moving and reaching with arms and hands, ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs as needed, ability to communicate effectively, and ability to work overtime as needed.
