Sales Manager
This Manager role will find, nurture and close key sales opportunities for the next phase of hyper growth.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will:
- Identify high-potential financial institutions (mid sized banks and credit unions) through a consultative sales approach.
- Shorten the sales cycle by anticipating and addressing blockers (Compliance, IT, Finance) early in the process
- Tailor value-based presentations and proposals that align with each prospect's business objectives, digital strategy, and asset size.
You will also:
- Sell a solution with a clear market need – helping banks and credit unions enhance digital engagement and deposit growth.
- Partner with our Product, Client Success, and Marketing teams to ensure sales feedback informs roadmap and messaging.
- Recommend pricing or packaging adjustments based on market feedback to improve deal velocity and conversion rates.
- Represent Plinqit at industry conferences, events, and webinars, positioning us as trusted thought leaders in digital banking innovation.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop speaking opportunities, podcasts, and content that highlight our expertise and innovation.
- Strengthen relationships with strategic partners who can advocate on our behalf and accelerate introductions with financial institutions.
- Work closely with the executive team to align go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and revenue goals.
- Provide clear, data-driven feedback on pipeline trends, market challenges, and sales performance to leadership.
- Mentor and support Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to ensure consistent outreach quality, pipeline coverage, and professional development.
You will do this using your:
- 3 to 5+ years of experience selling SaaS or digital banking solutions to banks and credit unions.
- Proven ability to manage 6 to 12 month enterprise-level sales cycles and close complex deals.
- Existing network of FI decision-makers and proven success engaging multiple stakeholders.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of compliance, IT, and digital banking dynamics.
- Confidence presenting to executive audiences (C-suite, Compliance, Marketing, and Technology leaders).
- Skilled in negotiation, relationship management, and storytelling that connects technology to business outcomes.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working effectively in a high-growth, remote-friendly startup.
- Willingness to travel for conferences, on-site client meetings, and strategic events.

Plinqit is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Travel and office appearances are required for all positions. We are a hybrid of remote and in person company; we leave it up to you and your manager to agree on how often you come into the office. We offer cell phone and internet stipends to help ensure your home office is a great place to work.
