Collaborates to create and update a historical cost database utilizing existing cost information on completed projects. Accounts for all required resources, including labor, materials, taxes, fees, and time. Conducts value analysis from conceptual through CD phases of design to final GMP contract. Implements cost control measures to manage project budgets effectively. Collaborates with project managers on estimating construction projects, value engineering, and pricing issues. Reviews plans and specifications for design completeness, coordination, and constructability. Ensures compliance with safety requirements, including OSHA regulations, and manages costs to provide a safe working environment. Executes take-offs of construction documents and inputs take-offs into a computer spreadsheet. Monitors subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with project budget and specification requirements. Participates in owner update meetings to provide accurate cost information and project status. Prepares conceptual and detailed cost estimates for preconstruction projects of various types and sizes.
