Senior Principal Architect - Fintech Product Leader (Remote)

About the Role As a key member of affirm’s Architecture Group, reporting to the VP of Engineering for Architecture, you will drive the architecture and technical roadmap for innovative products within the Servicing and Partner Configuration domains. These domains are crucial for enhancing affirm’s user experience across customer service and partner interactions. What You’ll Do Architectural Vision: Define and drive the long‑term architecture for affirm’s post‑purchase user experience and partner lifecycle management. Innovation Leadership: Champion scalable and delightful solutions, fostering a culture of innovation and evaluating new technologies and frameworks. Technical Excellence: Establish architecture and design standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members in best practices. Collaborative Leadership: Partner with Product Management to shape product direction and lead technical teams in delivering complex, end-to-end solutions. Team Development: Hire, coach, and manage senior engineering leaders, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. What We Look For Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading engineering teams across multiple product lines, from startups to large-scale technology companies. Technical Acumen: Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear decisions, influencing product direction effectively. Consumer Product Expertise: Extensive experience building and owning large-scale, highly available consumer products. Mentorship: Success in mentoring and developing technical leaders. Industry Knowledge: Experience in Fintech and Retail industries, particularly in B2C and B2B contexts (merchants/affiliates), is advantageous. Additional Skills: Familiarity with Salesforce SalesCloud or ServiceCloud platform is a plus. Compensation and Benefits Base Pay: $203,000 – $283,000 CAD annually. Equity Grade: 9.
