Dobbs Tire and Auto is seeking a Tire Techniciantohandle everything from mounting, balancing, and rotating tires to repairing flats and performing minor vehicle maintenance. This positionalso helpswith inventory, inspect tire casings, and keepingthe shop clean andorganized. The ideal candidate will bedetaileddriven, accountable,customercentricand a team player with a strong work ethic to contribute to thedepartmentgoals and achieve results. Roles And Responsibilities Mount and dismount tires; inspect damaged, defective, or flat tires to determine repair feasibility. Perform tire repairs, balancing, and rotation on a variety of vehicles. Conduct minor automotive maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, and accessory replacement. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment using approved methods and solvents. Drive customer vehicles into and out of the service bay and provide shuttle service when needed. Receive, inventory, and properly store tires based on size and type; stack and organize storage areas accordingly. Inspect tire casings and accurately categorize them as reusable or scrap. Deliver tires to other service locations as needed and complete additional tasks or assignments as directed. Success Factors A strong belief in safety-Being Safe 100% of the time is the expectation. Frequent exposure to varying temperatures due to the nature of the work and shop conditions. Regular contact with automotive chemicals, including solvents, lubricants, and fluids used in vehicle maintenance and repair. Extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting tires or equipment. Requires adherence to all safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Involves teamwork, reliability, and effective communication to maintain a safe and efficient workplace. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality service are essential for success.
