Radiologic Technologist

Job Summary Applies prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in accordance with policy and procedure, practicing radiation safety methods at all times. Selects appropriate technical factors limiting the need for re-exposure and in accordance with equipment operating guidelines. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative, and basic knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy. Applies patient care, communicating the procedure performed, lessening apprehension and in accordance with the hospital’s Patient’s Rights policies. Demonstrates knowledge of the needs of patients. Key Responsibilities Perform CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols. Ensure proper patient identification and safety measures are followed. Administer contrast media as required and monitor for adverse reactions. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Operate and maintain CT scanning equipment. Practice radiation safety principles. Provide patient education and alleviate patient anxiety. Schedule / Shift 3x12H WEEKENDS Friday – Sunday Required Qualifications ARRT certification IEMA license BLS certification Ability to perform IV starts and phlebotomy Experience with PACS Experience administering contrast Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Tech. Skills IV Starts Phlebotomy PACS Contrast administration EMR / Systems MediTech Patient Population Pediatrics Adolescents Adults Geriatrics Unit / Specialty ER Level I Trauma Community Hospital Adult ICU Floating / On‑Call On‑call required as needed for call‑off coverage.
