Senior Cost Accounting Analyst Location: Lake Jackson, TX Salary: $85,500-$129,500 Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week Relocation: Available Overview: The Senior Cost Accounting Analyst supports manufacturing cost control and site accounting activities for Olin's largest assets. In this role, you will oversee cost‑of‑sales drivers (raw materials, energy, manufacturing and engineering spend), capital expenditures, working capital, and productivity initiatives. You will also support accurate and timely financial closes, budgeting/forecasting, and management reporting—providing insights that help improve efficiency and profitability. This role is high impact and high visibility partnering closely with the Chlor‑Alkali Manufacturing Director and offers hands‑on experience working in SAP within a manufacturing environment. Essential Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including: Executing month‑end close procedures and journal entries Preparing account reconciliations and investigating variances Supporting physical inventory observations and ensuring accurate inventory accounting Reviewing fixed assets and supporting capitalization/depreciation processes Analyzing results, compiling management reports, and delivering ad hoc financial analyses Coordinating site estimates/forecasts and supporting the annual budgeting process Support the annual standard cost‑setting process and maintain standard costing assumptions Maintain compliance with company policy and U.S. GAAP; support SOX/internal control activities (documentation, testing, and remediation as needed) Ensure audit readiness and support internal/external audit requests, including timely responses and supporting documentation Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify cost optimization opportunities, quantify impact, and track productivity initiatives Requirements Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting; CMA or CPA certifications preferred. Minimum of 5 years of related cost accounting experience and experience performing accounting work in a manufacturing company. Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and SOX/internal controls preferred. Proficiency with an ERP system required; SAP experience preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non‑financial stakeholders. Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred. *Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent program from an international university.
