ABA Therapist - Helping Children Build Independence

One Step Forward is hiring an ABA Therapist to provide individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children in Newark and surrounding Essex County communities. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with children while helping them build communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills through evidence based ABA programs. We are looking for motivated professionals who are passionate about helping children make meaningful progress. What You’ll Be Doing Provide direct one on one ABA therapy sessions Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA Teach communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs Utilize ABA strategies including reinforcement, prompting, shaping, and behavior intervention techniques Collect accurate session data and complete detailed session notes Collaborate with supervising BCBAs regarding treatment progress and goals Why This Role Stands Out Competitive pay of $22–$32 per hour based on experience Consistent after school opportunities Ongoing BCBA supervision and support Structured ABA programs with strong clinical guidance Opportunity to continue growing in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis Meaningful work that creates lasting impact What We’re Looking For Experience working with children preferred ABA, RBT, Behavior Technician, childcare, special education, or behavioral health experience is a plus Reliable transportation Strong communication and organizational skills Dependable, professional, and motivated About One Step Forward One Step Forward provides individualized ABA therapy services throughout New Jersey.
