Staff Software Engineer - Product & Platform

Salary: $180,000 - 240,000 per year Requirements:

• We bring 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record of designing and shipping production-grade systems.
• We can apply AI and machine learning methods, including LLM-based approaches such as RAG, guardrails, and evaluations, to solve real customer problems.
• We have experience designing scalable systems that remain reliable as usage, data volume, and complexity increase.
• We have worked with backend engineering, distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, or applied AI/ML systems.
• We are comfortable working across the full stack when needed, including backend services, frontend interfaces, infrastructure, integrations, and deployment workflows.
• We can operate effectively in ambiguous customer environments and turn unclear needs into working software.
• We communicate clearly with engineers, product teams, executives, and customer stakeholders.
• We bring strong ownership, a bias for action, and the ability to drive outcomes without waiting for perfect requirements.
• We have strong debugging instincts and can reason across application code, data, infrastructure, networking, and customer systems.
• Preferred: We have experience as a full-stack or backend engineer, forward-deployed engineer, solutions engineer, product engineer, platform engineer, or founding/startup engineer.
• Preferred: We have experience with AI agents, LLM applications, workflow orchestration, evaluations, guardrails, retrieval systems, or model deployment.
• Preferred: We have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• We work directly with customers to understand their workflows, pain points, data environments, and operational constraints.
• We contribute to both the core platform and customer-specific integrations by building reusable capabilities and adapting them for each customer environment.
• We build and deploy AI-enabled applications, agents, and workflow automation using AI/ML and LLM techniques such as RAG, guardrails, and evaluations.
• We translate customer needs into technical requirements, implementation plans, and product feedback for our core engineering team.
• We own delivery from prototype to production, including architecture, backend services, APIs, integrations, observability, testing, deployment, and customer acceptance.
• We integrate with customer systems, data sources, identity providers, and cloud or on-prem infrastructure.
• We partner with product, engineering, security, and customer teams to ensure our solutions are secure, reliable, auditable, and operationally useful.
• We debug issues in deployed environments and drive rapid resolution across application, infrastructure, data, and integration layers.
• We operate with strong judgment in environments involving sensitive data and business-critical workflows.
