Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Apigee SRE Engineer / Platform SME to manage, support, and optimize Apigee API platforms on GCP. The candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of the API ecosystem.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Apigee (Edge/X/Hybrid).
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of API management and API lifecycle.
• Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Understanding of security policies (OAuth, JWT, mTLS).
• Experience in capacity planning and performance optimization.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage and support Apigee Edge / Apigee X / Hybrid deployments.
• Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments.
• Implement SRE practices such as SLIs, SLOs, alerting, and incident response.
• Work closely with development, cloud, and DevOps teams.
• Handle upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
