Job Description

LIVE-IN CHHA/CAREGIVER NEEDED – TINTON FALLS, NJ AREA

Preferred Care at Home is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced live-in caregiver for a male stroke survivor who recently returned home from rehabilitation.

Client Overview:

Male client, approximately 5'4" and 155 lbs
Stroke survivor with right-side weakness
Wheelchair dependent
Requires assistance with all activities of daily living
Alert, pleasant, and enjoys conversation and companionship

Caregiver Responsibilities:

Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, diapering)
Transfers using a slide board
Meal preparation and light housekeeping
Medication reminders
Companionship and engagement
Monitoring safety and comfort throughout the day

Requirements:

Current CHHA certification required
Must be able to safely perform slide board transfers and assist a wheelchair-bound client with mobility needs
Experience caring for stroke survivors or clients with limited mobility strongly preferred
Patient, dependable, and professional
Strong communication skills

Schedule:

Live-in position
Sleeping accommodations provided
Ongoing long-term assignment
