LIVE-IN CHHA/CAREGIVER NEEDED – TINTON FALLS, NJ AREA
Preferred Care at Home is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced live-in caregiver for a male stroke survivor who recently returned home from rehabilitation.
Client Overview:
- Male client, approximately 5'4" and 155 lbs
- Stroke survivor with right-side weakness
- Wheelchair dependent
- Requires assistance with all activities of daily living
- Alert, pleasant, and enjoys conversation and companionship
Caregiver Responsibilities:
- Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, diapering)
- Transfers using a slide board
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Medication reminders
- Companionship and engagement
- Monitoring safety and comfort throughout the day
Requirements:
- Current CHHA certification required
- Must be able to safely perform slide board transfers and assist a wheelchair-bound client with mobility needs
- Experience caring for stroke survivors or clients with limited mobility strongly preferred
- Patient, dependable, and professional
- Strong communication skills
Schedule:
- Live-in position
- Sleeping accommodations provided
- Ongoing long-term assignment
