Come talk to us about joining the Centerstone team!JOB DESCRIPTION:SUMMARY OF POSITIONCenterstone is seeking therapist with experience treating individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. This is an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team. No weekend or on call work required.This is a full-time office-based position with face to face as well as telehealth opportunities to meet with clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop therapeutic rapport with clients – Meet with clients as scheduled to aid in development of therapeutic relationship.Diagnostic Assessment – Formulate a provisional diagnostic assessment based on information presented, identify need for risk assessment (to include substance use assessments).Concurrent Documentation – Completes documentation within 24 hours.Provide assessment services, individual (and possibly family) therapy to those identified with substance use issues.Treatment Planning – Developing, writing, implementing, evaluating and revising overall treatment goals/objectives and plans per ongoing assessment of needs and input from the individual based on their identified strengths.Therapeutic Interventions – Use of empirically based modalities to engage and manage their mental health or substance abuse diagnosis.Progress notes completed within current agency guidelines.Responds to supervisory request for urgent care situations and coverage for vacant caseloads. This includes telephones and face to face intervention.Keeps administrative supervisor informed of all potential issues that could impact the program or the organization.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESEffectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.Proficient in Microsoft Office productsCoordination, ability to organize, and plan are critical for this roleResponds to needs of consumers in a timely and professional manner.Demonstrates good clinical judgment in decision making regarding consumers.QUALIFICATIONSEducation RequirementsA Master’s degree is required in one of the following fields: Clinical Psychology, Mental Health (MH) Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and/or a specialization in MH CounselingLicense-eligible in respective discipline preferred.ORApplicants with a Master’s degree in a related field (outside of the disciplines listed above) must meet the following criteria:Completion of at least 24 graduate-level semester hours in psychology, social work, counseling, or other behavioral health-related coursework.Relevant coursework and work experience in the following areas:Clinical treatment and treatment planningAppraisal and assessment of mental disordersPsychopathologyUse of the DSM for diagnostic purposes within a clinical internship or practicum in a behavioral health settingExperience RequirementsA minimum of one (1) year of experience providing treatment to individuals with mental health disorders is required, and substance use disorders experience preferred.Internship experience may be applied toward the minimum experience requirement for recent graduates.Certification/LicensureN/AStarting Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSStanding – 10%Sitting – 90%Squatting – OccasionalKneeling – OccasionalBending – OccasionalDriving – OccasionalLifting – OccasionalDISCLAIMERThe duties and responsibilities described in this document are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time, or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.Time Type:Full timePay Range:$0.00-$0.00Delivering care that changes people's lives starts with our employees.
