Job Overview Join the Texas A&M School of Engineering Medicine as a Program Coordinator II! In this role you will provide advanced professional and specialized skills for planning, developing, implementing and managing student development programs and activities, utilizing maximum campus and community resources and opportunities for the Student Affairs Office in the School of Engineering Medicine. Responsibilities Program Support – Maintain the student information database; serve as primary liaison during the matriculation process; oversee the M1/M2 Buddy Program; provide administrative support for the Director of Wellness and M4 HEAL Capstone; coordinate wellbeing initiatives; manage attestation forms; generate unofficial transcripts; create grade graphs for MSPEs; upload MSPEs into ERAS; manage graduation clearances; produce class rank letters; interpret and develop university/departmental rules and procedures; build and sustain positive relations with departmental leadership; attend staff meetings and professional development seminars; conduct research for program planning; mentor and support students through application of student development theory; serve as a role model for a highly competitive academic program; plan and execute activities to foster campus community. Operational Support – Prepare, organize, update and maintain program records, files, manuals and documentation; analyze and summarize programmatic data; create original correspondence, reports, presentations and program materials; provide basic program information to students, faculty, staff and the public; monitor compliance with university/departmental policies; assist in preparing budgets and fund allocation planning. Event Support – Plan and execute major events for the School of Engineering Medicine including New Student Orientation, Medical School White Coat ceremony, HEAL Capstone, Match Day ceremony and Commencement ceremony. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Four years of program coordination, program development or closely related experience; four or more years of planning and implementing student development programs and activities. Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration or closely related field preferred. Experience with academic advising and coordinating a tutoring program. Professional experience in higher education or a medical setting. Demonstrated leadership experience. Knowledge of TAMUS policies and procedures; strong communication, organizational and multitasking skills. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
