Job Title: RN Surgery

Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
Certifications: Advanced Life Support (within 6 months of hire), BLS Provider (within 1 month of hire)

Must-Have:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
- Scrub experience preferred
- Experience in Orthopedics, Trauma, General/GYN, Urology, DaVinci Robotics, Vascular, and Cardiovascular Operating Room is a plus

Description:
Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition.
Manages overall nursing care of patients before, during, and after procedures.
Directly assists the operating physician with surgical tasks, including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure.
Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
The work environment is that of a busy trauma center with multiple operating rooms.
This position requires the ability to float to other units as necessary.
Experience with electronic medical records is necessary.
