Basic Function and Scope: The CLS performs laboratory testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and ensures the validity of test results. Essential Job Duties Level I - Minimum Perform assays according to SOPs. Operate, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment. Maintain inventory and document activities. Adhere to processing timelines and safety standards. Level II Mentor and train staff. Participate in projects and SOP writing. Level III Advanced troubleshooting and SOP mastery. Serve on committees and train others. Qualifications Minimum requirements include a degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field, relevant experience, and ability to work with infectious materials and automated/manual platforms. Skills in aseptic techniques, PC proficiency, and strong communication are essential. Physical Requirements Manual dexterity, communication skills, ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 15 pounds, and operate a computer for extended periods.
