Summer Camp Assistant

Position Title: Summer Camp Assistant (Float) Staff – PA Kids Summer Camp Location: Austin, TX 78702 Pay Rate: $14–$16/hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday–Friday | Daytime Hours Only – No Late Evenings or Weekends! Seasonal Position: June–August About Us: PA Kids, part of the Pure Ambition network, offers high-quality care and enrichment through dynamic summer programming for K–5 students. Our camp combines fun, structure, and creativity in a safe, kid-focused environment. Position Overview: PA Kids is hiring dependable and energetic Summer Camp Assistant (Float) to support our Lead Teachers, assist in classrooms, and help facilitate a fun, safe summer experience for students. This is the perfect role for high schoolers, recent graduates, or anyone who enjoys working with kids and wants to build real-world experience in a professional, upbeat setting. Key Responsibilities: Assist in classrooms with daily activities, crafts, games, and supervision Provide support during field trips and transitions throughout the day Cover breaks for Lead Teachers (lunch/restroom coverage) Step in as a substitute for Lead Teachers when needed (training provided) Help with basic custodial tasks like tidying, restocking, and organizing materials Retrieve classroom supplies and help with activity setup/cleanup Model safe, respectful behavior and contribute to a positive camp culture What We Offer: $16-$18/hour based on experience and performance Monday–Friday schedule – enjoy your evenings and weekends off!
