Mechanical Engineer

Industrial/Semiconductor Mechanical EngineerFarnsworth Group is seeking an Industrial/Semiconductor Mechanical Engineer in one of the posting locations below. In this role you will assume multi-project responsibilities for full mechanical design, including HVAC/Exhaust, cleanroom design, plumbing, and process utility systems. Projects will be in advanced manufacturing and technology markets, primarily semiconductor, biotech, pharmaceutical, and food & beverage. This role reports to an Engineering Manager who will also provide mentoring and training opportunities. Posting Locations for this role: Austin or Frisco, TX; Greenwood Village, CO (Denver Tech Center); Phoenix, AZ; Salt Lake City, UT, or Boise, IDWhat You'll Do:Prepare accurate Mechanical system construction drawings and specifications for submittal review and construction administrationPrepare preliminary schematics and final designs, calculations, equipment selection and layoutMaintain project design budgets and schedules while pursuing qualityActively engage in and assume responsibility for code research and applicationInterface with other disciplines, clients, and contractorsCoordinate with other production staffWhat You'll Need:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering8-15 years of experience in technically complex system designPE license, preferred, but not requiredStrong working knowledge of ICC model codes (Fire, Building, Mechanical, Plumbing)Design experience relative to medium/large commercial and institutional facilitiesExperience with Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong team player in a multi-disciplinary environmentExcellent oral and written communications skillsAbility to contribute to several projects simultaneouslyAbility to travel occasionally to client sites in support of projectsWho We Are:Join Farnsworth Group, a nationally recognized architectural, engineering, and surveying firm, where your career can thrive!
